Today, Hon'ble Deputy CEM Shri Animesh Debbarma and EM Shri Chitta Ranjan Debbarma tendered their resignation from their respective positions as executive members of the TTAADC. This decision comes after their successful bid in the recently concluded Vidhan Sabha election in Tripura.

Shri Animesh Debbarma contested as a representative of the TIPRA Motha party in the 26 Asharambari constituency, while Shri Chitta Ranjan Debbarma contested in the 47 Ambassa constituency. The election was fiercely contested, with the BJP emerging as the clear winner with 32 seats out of the 60-member assembly.

The IPFT, which had formed an alliance with the BJP, managed to win only one seat. The newly formed TIPRA Motha party, which was seen as a challenger to the BJP-IPFT alliance, won 13 seats, while the CPI(M) and the Congress won 11 and 3 seats, respectively.

With the resignation of Animesh Debbarma and Chitta Ranjan Debbarma from their positions in the TTAADC, the newly elected MLAs will now serve the people in their new roles as local MLAs. This move is expected to have a significant impact on the functioning of the TTAADC.

The TIPRA Motha party's performance in the election is particularly noteworthy, given that it is a newly formed party. The party was formed in January 2021 by Bubagra Pradyot Kishore Deb Barman, the former president of the Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee, who resigned from the Congress in 2019. The party's performance in the election is a testament to the growing demand for regional parties in the state.

The election also saw the emergence of a new generation of leaders who are committed to serving the people of Tripura. Many of the newly elected MLAs are young, dynamic, and come from diverse backgrounds. This bodes well for the state's future as it looks to move forward and address the various challenges it faces.

The election results have also highlighted the changing political landscape of Tripura, with the emergence of new regional parties like the TIPRA Motha party, which has managed to secure a significant number of seats in the assembly.

In conclusion, the resignation of Animesh Debbarma and Chitta Ranjan Debbarma from their positions in the TTAADC is a significant development in the politics of Tripura. It remains to be seen how this move will impact the functioning of the TTAADC and the larger political landscape of the state. However, one thing is certain – the newly elected MLAs will now have a more significant role to play in shaping the future of Tripura.
